Sirius (Leo Cropley), a child of NeverBorn, visits the family he always wished to be a part of. He confides in his NeverBorn friends, Ziggy (George Clarke), Artie(Jarlan Bogolubov), the Girl with a Heart of Gold (Adeline Hutchinson-Dunn) and The Girl with the Lights in her Eyes ( Alice Haldane) about his wish to live as a human son to Ben (Kristopher Milnes), an IVF Consultant. Ben’s business is the creation of Life – but he knows all about the “punch in the gut” when things don’t work out.He and his partner Elinor (Gina Murray), a PhD and teacher at the NotaBene Observatory, would love to have a child but their lives just don’t seem aligned. They take a family trip to Little Escape Holiday Cottages with Ben’s daughter Juliette and meet the spirited young Stella (Minnaii Barrowes), a girl whose deep understanding comes from her own magical transition from NeverBorn to human. Stella teaches Sirius how to nudge reality, to become a son to Ben and Elinor, and a brother to Juliette; to live as part of the family as though he had always been there.
